Out Commitment

Larmer Brown is committed to creating positive social, economic and environmental impact in our local community/communities. As a small business, we believe in acting responsibly and ensuring our business practices contribute to a better, more sustainable local area.

Our Key Focus Areas

We focus our social value efforts on three main pillars:

Local Community & Economy: We promote literacy levels of primary school-aged children in our local area by donating funds to support the purchase of books.

Environmental Responsibility: We are dedicated to minimising our office waste and promote recycling where possible. Our processes and communications are all digital to minimise the need for printing and postage.

Ethical Practices & Wellbeing: We promote flexible working patterns for our employees to encourage a positive work-life balance. Employees are allocated one half paid day per year to offer their time as a volunteer to a cause of their choice.

Our Actions and Goals

Goal 1 (Community): We support our local primary school with an annual donation for them to spend on the books that best meet the literacy needs of their children.

Goal 2 (Environment): Using an online carbon footprint calculator, we will assess and review our company emissions, identifying and reviewing actionable changes on an annual basis.

Goal 3 (Local): Whilst procurement for our day-to-day business does not require us to purchase locally, we ensure that local services are employed when maintenance works are required at our office.

Monitoring and Accountability

We will review our progress annually to ensure our actions are making a tangible difference.
