SAP Enable Now Discovery Workshop
Our SAP Enable Now Discovery Workshop comprises a series of customised sessions that efficiently transfer knowledge and understanding to the key members of your Project Team, ensuring they can make informed decisions from the outset.
Delivered by our experienced Consultants, these sessions will guide you through the discovery and planning phases of your Enable Now Project. Sessions typically include scenario-led discussions and in-depth demonstrations.
A Prototype SAP Enable Now structure is created and presented to the attendees, enabling them to fully visualise the end results.
Development Process
During the SAP Enable Now Discovery Workshop we will review all aspects of setting up the development environment as well as the application and enforcement of Development Standards. Key considerations such as accessibility, GDPR, user demographics, infrastructure and corporate branding are all incorporated into the prototype development process to ensure alignment with organisational and compliance requirements.
To ensure that learning solutions are effective, we incorporate principles of instructional design theory early in the process. For system training, we strongly recommend a Development Strategy based on job roles rather than cross-functional views, supported by the introduction of process maps and relevant media. This aligns with adult learning principles and allows users to access only the content that is directly relevant to their responsibilities, improving both engagement and knowledge retention.
A structured Storyboarding approach is proposed as a collaborative bridge between Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and content authors. This enables early alignment on learning objectives, tone, structure and media elements, helping to reconfirm the scope and avoid costly rework later in the development lifecycle. Storyboards serve as a visual blueprint for the content, allowing SMEs to review and validate course flow and instructional integrity before full production begins.
We also recommend that an item be dedicated to compliance, specifically the Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2, released in October 2023. It is a requirement from October 2024 that all UK public sector web sites, mobile apps and new digital content must comply with these standards. The Project should include testing of course content with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and speech recognition software. If needed, our Accessibility Lead can be assigned to the Project with responsibility to ensure that whenever possible the Content Design and Development Standards comply with WCAG 2.2.
Upon prototype approval, the Content Development Standards document is produced. This acts as a central reference throughout development and review, outlining the agreed look and feel, SAP Enable Now outputs and delivery methods ensuring consistency and quality control across all content assets.
The Discovery Workshop also includes dedicated sessions to review and approve a suitable Development Methodology, based on the project team and their agreed roles. These roles are aligned and configured to SAP Enable Now roles and workflows, ensuring content governance and review processes are understood and effectively implemented.
Deployment
The method by which the users will be consuming the training content is also considered within the scope of the Discovery Workshop. SAP Enable Now offers multiple deployment options including:
- Learner Portal
- In-application Web Assistant (SAP Companion) and Desktop Assistant
- Export to SCORM or HTML5 for integration into third-party platforms
The chosen deployment method also influences the type and granularity of usage data collected, which in turn affects reporting and analytics. All these considerations are discussed and documented during the SAP Enable Now Discovery Workshop to ensure the training solution is optimally aligned with technical and learner requirements.
