Training Courses
Larmer Brown offers a schedule of Open Courses at venues in Manchester, Birmingham and North Hampshire. Alternatively, we can deliver courses at Client offices or any suitable venue. Our Courses reflect the Content Development Tools and Learning Content Management Systems we sell and support.
Our Training Course offering includes networked training laptops, step-by-step course manuals and supporting student exercises, a qualified and experienced Senior Instructor and follow on telephone support.

User Productivity Kit 3.5 Developer Course (3 days) This course is designed for content authors, instructional designers, editors and others recording and editing content using UPK 3.5. The course is designed to provide hands-on practice of each feature, each having been demonstrated by the Instructor. Throughout the three day course, knowledge is consolidated via the creation of live scenarios using a ‘building block’ approach to learning. User Productivity Kit 3.6 Upgrade Course (2 days) This course is designed for content authors, instructional designers, editors or lead developers experienced in the use of OnDemand Personal Navigator v8.7/9.1 or UPK v2.7, 3.1, or 3.5 who have a requirement to upgrade to the latest version. User Productivity Kit Technical Specialist Course (2 days) Through this facilitated Workshop, IT Specialists will gain first-hand experience of UPK Installation, Configuration and Testing in a live environment. The configuration of UPK is aligned to the requirements of the UPK Development Team including the creation of the various staging areas. Developer systems are installed and configured to access the UPK Library.
User Productivity Kit Professional (UPK Pro) / Knowledge Pathways (KP)
Knowledge Pathways Developer/Designer Course (2 days) Using hands-on exercises course authors and instructional designers build courses using a portfolio of per-created learning assets. Courses are published to the Knowledge Pathways Server where delegates work through the creation of learning paths, import of users and the assignment of learning to specific user groups. The training delivered from within the user interface provides a valuable insight into Knowledge Pathways hierarchal reports. On completion of this course, delegates will have the skills required to organise content and create a training curriculum that can be delivered to users via an intranet or the internet. Read more...

Training Workshops
Larmer Brown´s Training Workshops offer Clients a tangible solution to limited time or budget. Workshops comprise of features chosen by the Client to meet their specific requirements. Duration, location and delegate pre-requisites are also the choice of the Client. To ensure that the Workshop is fit for purpose, the content is verified by a Senior Instructor to check sequence and timings. The background of each delegate is reviewed as well as the overall objectives of the Workshop to ensure they can be met.
