In July 2008, Oracle Corporation announced its intention to purchase Global Knowledge Software. The US Legal Entity Combination was completed on 1st November 2008. Larmer Brown, as an Oracle Certified Partner, is bound by the US LEC.

This acquisition brought GKS's products, including OnDemand Personal Navigator (ODPN), the engine that powered Oracle's User Productivity kit (UPK), into the Oracle family.

A considerable benefit of this acquisition is that existing UPK and ODPN customers now have access to a single version of UPK that will support all Oracle and non-Oracle applications. The previous requirement to purchase both UPK and ODPN licenses to accommodate all applications is no longer necessary, as any existing licenses for ODPN can now be used for all Oracle applications and likewise, UPK can now support all non-Oracle applications.
